Looked After Children (Scotland) Regulations 2009
These regulations support the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 and the Adoption and Children (Scotland) Act 2007. They are built on 3 core principles:
- the child’s welfare must come first
- the child’s views should be taken into account
- decisions should be made without delay and with the least intrusion into the child’s life
