Part of Social work legislation

Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014

The Act covers a wide range of rights and protections for children and young people. It sets out how services and support should be provided, creates rules for an adoption register, and includes provisions linked to children’s hearings and secure accommodation. In several areas, it updates and replaces parts of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995.
