Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014
The Act creates the framework for improving the quality and consistency of health and social care in Scotland. Its main aim is to tackle longstanding challenges by bringing health and social care services together. It sets out nine national outcomes that all areas must work towards.
The Act also allows local authorities and health boards to delegate their responsibilities to Integrated Joint Boards, helping to streamline decision making and make better use of resources.
