Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011

The Act sets out the law for how children’s hearings operate, including assessments, child protection orders, and related procedures.

It also created Children’s Hearings Scotland (CHS), which is responsible for recruiting, training, and monitoring panel members and for setting national standards for how hearings should be carried out.
