Risks and dependencies

Strategic case risks and dependencies

The strategic case for the NSWA is subject to a number of risks and dependencies.

Risks include:

  • stakeholder resistance to change
  • challenges in recruiting and retaining skilled staff
  • data and technology limitations
  • potential delays in legislative or policy implementation

Dependencies include:

  • effective partnership working through the SSWP
  • alignment of partner interests
  • timely delivery of supporting legislation and ongoing political and financial support

Risk management

The NSWA will manage risks through proactive engagement, clear communication, robust project management and regular review. Dependencies will be monitored and addressed through formal agreements, joint planning and shared accountability mechanisms. A risk register will be maintained by the NSWA Senior Leadership Team and Management Advisory Board, with escalation procedures in place.
