Planning for the review of impact on children’s rights and wellbeing

Once the NSWA is established, the executive agency Chief Executive would be responsible for establishing internal audit mechanisms, in line with the objectives and standards set out in the Government Internal Audit Manual, and in a way that provides best value for money. In addition, the Chief Executive would be responsible for maintaining a reliable system of internal control and assurance that supports the agency’s aims, objectives and policies, and for regularly reviewing the effectiveness of that system.

Further, the law states that the National Chief Social Work Adviser prepare an annual report for the Scottish Ministers on the state of social work services and the social work workforce.
