Part of Child Rights and Wellbeing Impact Assessment

6. What changes (if any) have been made to the proposal as a result of this assessment?

The evidence reaffirms the policy position that:

  • creation of a National Social Work Agency will have an unequivocally positive impact upon the lives of children, young people and their families
  • NSWA will provide professional leadership for the whole social work workforce, leading on social work education; professional development; workforce planning; implementation, and improvement
  • NSWA will promote delivery of high-quality, impactful support through ensuring national consistency alongside local flexibility across Scotland

Therefore there was no need to make changes to the proposal.
