Recruitment and retention of social workers

We’ll collaborate to create an environment that encourages and supports social workers to remain in the workforce throughout their career. We also want to encourage new talent into the profession. 

We’ll develop strategies for recruitment and retention initiatives to support the long-term sustainability of the sector.  

We’ll design and promote national initiatives targeted at:

  • those considering degree level education
  • people who want to be a social worker
  • attracting experienced qualified social workers back into the workforce

Our messaging will be about the value and impact of social work, more visible career pathways and coordinated national activity that highlights the breadth of roles available.
