Trauma responsive social work services

We lead work to ensure that all social work services are able to recognise where people are affected by trauma and adversity. We also ensure services respond in ways that:

• prevent further harm
• support recovery
• address inequalities
• improve life chances

Our programme supports public sector reform. It helps the workforce deliver trauma-enhanced practice, with an emphasis on workforce wellbeing and high-quality professional supervision. 

Ultimately, our goal is to improve the experience of people who rely on social work support.
